We're back with a new look!
We have returned from the deep void of cyberspace with a brand new.. Well, brand. Our website, our colors and our logo have all changed, and so have we!
The old brand was clean and professional, and we were quite attached to it, but it never felt like it represented us as individuals or the identity we imagine for DinoByte. So we decided to change and come back with a refreshing new look and focus. It’s taken quite a while to get it all right, but Louise has been hard at work designing the logo and finding the exact colors we want. Not only do we feel the new color scheme feels nicer and more appropriate to us, but we love how the new logo feels more like a mascot. We haven’t named them yet, but we already love 'em to bits! If you have any suggestions for name, let us know in the comments below.
So how have we changed as a company? Well, we’re switching our focus to be more in line with what DinoByte was meant to be, so we’re excited to say we’re now decidedly a games studio! It’s our current goal to spend more time developing our own titles, and while we still take on client work, we now hope to keep that squarely within the games industry. We’ve actually recently completed a front to back games project for a client, which is really exciting. There will be some gameplay videos coming soon, so keep an eye out!
As part of the changes here at DinoByte we’ve also grown, by doubling the size of our team, which we hope can help us push forward at a greater speed than ever. In fact we’re currently working on 2 games of our own that we’re getting closer and closer to officially announcing, so we hope you’ll look forward to those! You could even help us by getting involved. We’ve set up a program called DinoBits to better get to know our players and audience. It’s free and easy to sign up so there really isn’t any reason not to. Members get priority access to beta tests, can have their names put in the credits of future games we make, take part in surveys and much more.
We’re incredibly excited about the new look and direction, and we can’t wait to show you what we’re working on. How do you like the new DinoByte Labs? We’d love to hear what you think!
